This is a Torres Strait spear point of the highest quality. Spear points from Torres Straits were carved with both crocodile and human (ancestral) motifs. A bone tip with barb was attached at the top and the handle was a bamboo shaft. This particular figure is superb and has a wonderful brown patina overall.
